Q: My files were deleted/overwritten during a sync. Hi janetloma, Here is from GoodSync's FAQ web page. (Many threads in the forum have not been finalized with a summary (explanation) post. In fact, Immunet should try to produce any possible explanation for a strange behaviour. Have you received a confirmation, that your IE8 and/or XP Home SP3 is/are the culprit(s) of this behaviour? I have Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit, and I think, that I have received this strange trap. I know from before, that for you, Immunet traps. Immunet is having some kind of problem with how IE8 queues a d/l. there simply is not enough time for anything to actually d/l. The 'trap' takes place the instant I click on the d/l button. It SEEMS the TEMP file is created (by IE8?) BEFORE the actual d/l takes place and for some reason, Immunet does not like it. I have tried to explain this before in another thread. Once saved, you can scan goodsync-cnetg.exe and it comes up clean. In spite of the trap, goodsync-cnetg.exe DOES d/l. It traps goodsync-cnetg.exe from C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\ACIMMCY2 folder. It traps a temp file that is somehow involved in the d/l. Immunet does not 'trap' goodsync-cnetg.exe. So far, Immunet has never qurantined the setup file of GoodSync from CNET for me! Strange, that your setup file has now been quarantined! Inconsistantly indeed!! GoodSync gets updates frequently (once a week or once a forthnight -> Too often in my mind!). I have used GoodSync (shareware) since almost one year now for backups of my datadiscs.
